Greetings from the Mueller-Shute Christmas 2006 Workshop. December has been so very busy around here that the many Christmas projects have spent the month in the idea/pile-of-supplies stage.
Some projects were delayed by a sewing machine crisis. An emergency trip to the suburbs to purchase a new sewing machine resulted in the discovery that what we really had was a crappy thread crisis . . . and another trip to the store to return the new machine (It had so many lovely bells and whistles . . . sigh.).
On Sunday, a small crew descended on Chez Mueller-Shute for graham cracker house assembly, some of which turned out to be rather unorthodox.
As of Tuesday night, we had two and a half bears. Eek!
Mac and I finally took today off from work to projectify. I've only been up since 5 am and out of bed since 5:45 when I gave up on trying to go back to sleep. We've been sewing, chopping, rolling, and baking like mad. Whee!
Got a bit side tracked determining that Mac's computer is really, really dead (you should hear the hard drive grind). Why is the prospect of buying a new computer stressing me out less than the prospect of buying a sewing machine did? Go figure.
Oh well, coming up on 3 pm there are some lovely smells wafting from
the kitchen (I got to eat a big egg white omlet for lunch because someone
needed a bunch of yolks) and we're up to three bears (though one still
needs eyes) and one wee bunny and a couple of presents for people who
read blogs so they have to wait.
